Brereton is a thriving village school of two hundred pupils, just outside Holmes Chapel, in the beautiful village of Brereton. It is served by St Oswald's Church. Brereton joined the Chester Diocese Academy Trust family in March 2018 as a converter academy.
A Christian vision and values are at the heart of Brereton and they serve to provide all children with the opportunity to celebrate their abilities and achievements, whilst tackling new challenges and experiences together. We endeavour to inspire children to 'love God, love learning and love one another: as Jesus did. Brereton is an incredibly special school within an active community. The dedication of the staff, the support of the parents and the enthusiasm of the pupils is truly inspirational.
The school has developed an engaging, relevant and active curriculum which ensures children are well prepared for the next stage of their education and where they develop new skills in subjects such as PE, Art and Music. We are particularly proud of our Forest School curriculum. Children enjoy regular trips, visits, and these days, which help to enhance teaching and make learning memorable. Brereton prides itself on working closely with parents and carers to ensure that the very best standard of care and education is received.
Love God, Love Learning, Love One Another – Enabling Everyone to Flourish

To reflect our Christian distinctiveness and to ensure Jesus is seen as a teacher of how to live we have selected a bible passage to accompany each of our values to help the collective understanding of their meaning.
